I am excited to learn the RBF Dome renovation project is taking bids to begin restoring the dome. Having been involved in the project since its conception, I am looking forward to its completion. What an impact on Carbondale, SIU and its architectural heritage it will make!
It has come to my attention that Blair Wolfram of Dome, Inc. is submitting a bid for the project. He has been a prime supporter of the project from its beginning and has a strong interest in its restoration. His understanding of geodesic structures has a long history and successes from understanding the unique and subtle behaviors of geodesic construction. His comprehension of Buckminster Fuller's geodesic principles and philosophy will no doubt insure a quality restoration if chosen in the bidding process.

Because of your expertise, ability to direct workmen, and on the job commitment, our dome roof project was completed successfully. We want to thank you for everything you did, being fully aware that without your direction, this project would not have had such a positive ending. In fact,
I'd say that the new roof is the best one ever placed on this building.

We're confident that you have all the knowledge and tools needed to help and/or direct any geodesic dome project. It's a shame that our builder didn't bring such a high quality of work to the original construction.
